Pulp Fiction books were cheap sci fi volumes, very popular from 1896 to the 50’s. Today, these antique items could be conserved on book shelves, considering they’re a precious treasure, but that’s not how Thomas Allen feels about it. That’s because on these books’ scarred covers are the perfect actors for the scenes he directs.
Inspired by the pop-up books that marked his childhood, the american photographer cuts the figures from de covers and creates his scenes, playing with focus and angles in a three-dimensional experience.
