PaperMonster is a Puerto Rican artist based in New Jersey, United States. His specialty is to create intricate works that mix graffiti, stencil and collage techniques, depicting multi-layered female faces and looks.
His works, made out of diverse materials, offer the spectator two possible views: the big picture, where you see the face in the first place; or a closer look, where you can see the parts that compose that same face.
On his creative process, PaperMonster constantly uses pop culture icons, specially comic books, combining them with Asian typography, patterns and vibrant textures that explore the stencil technique to its full potential. Next August the artist will have his first international solo show, in Paris.
The video below shows the artist working on one of the biggest walls he ever painted.
