Symbol of parisian nightlife, the Moulin Rouge cabaret, built in 1889 by Joseph Oller, is still one of the most important attractions of the City of Light.
Despite of its bohemian aura never growing old, the space went through a redesign process to celebrate its 120 anniversary. Young design+strategy agency John Brightman took this mission and after six months of work developed a new visual for the playhouse.
According to the group of creative professionals involved in the project – Stephane Gautier, Pauline Nicolas, Francois Gatault – the biggest challenge was to create an identity above all representative, simple and dynamic, without forgetting the magic that involves the cabaret.
