Led by the site Greyscale Gorilla, the Five Seconds project has a pretty simple premise: participants must create an animation within no more, no less than five seconds, following a predetermined theme.
Its last edition, whose theme was “Reverse”, was won by freelance animator and illustrator Ross Phillips. Using iconic imagery, the artist summed in 5 seconds the trajectory of a whole life backwards.
Phillips has also won the previous edition of the project, with the theme “Fail”. Such an admirable power of synthesis!
