Do you know when you’re talking at the phone, or maybe terribly bored in the classroom, and start drawing out of the blue, almost instinctively? Well, those unpretentious and badly finished sketches may seem useless for you, but for Lim Heng Swee they turned out great, since doodling introduced him to his illustrator career, in 2003.
His latest drawings still keep the simplicity of the ones he did back then, and maybe that’s the reason why they’re so amusing. His main goal when wielding the pencil is to depict life’s most simple and fun aspects. “I love doodling, this is why all started. Through illustrations and designs, I hope I’ll be able to doodle a smile on people’s face”.
