Zupi is a brand created by graphic artist Allan Szacher, focused on showing what’s best in terms of art, design, ideas and trends, both in Brazil and worldwide. The Zupi portal is online since 2002, along with other achievements such as the Zupi Shop, the “Zupi is Art” collection, the “Pixel Show” art and design conference and the Zupi print magazine.
Always gathering the most diverse branches of contemporary art, Zupi is aimed at artists, designers, illustrators, art directors, stylists, web designers, street artists and motion designers, whose works are frequently commented and respected by our team. As a democratic place, Zupi also encourages students and young professionals to show their ideas.
In addition, Zupi was born in order to promote, encourage and register the production of authorial works, revealing what are the new trends and showing contemporary artists who are emerging every day. Zupi is a must for collectors and art lovers. As a talent-promoting vehicle, we give the artists featured on our pages the recognition, merits and business opportunities they deserve.
The name Zupi came from adapting the words “zip” and “zap”, which denotes the high speed of change and transformation of modern times. The logo contextualizes the Brazilian folk icon of the SACI in a cloud of imagination, wrapped by a comic book balloon. It reveals one of the main concepts about Zupi, which consists on processing and integrating foreign influences while disclosing the authenticity of our roots.
Due to our great achievements and performance as a communication vehicle, Zupi was the first Brazilian magazine recognized by the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (Icograda). Constantly seeking for growth and learning, we work hard to transform our past achievements into even greater success in the future.
