Diego Arroyo is a Spanish art director living and working in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Between one job and another, he finds in photography a great hobby, which he’s been practicing for over 12 years now.
In this creative field, his strongest inspirations are Steve McCurry, Sebastiao Salgado and Gregory Colbert, influences that had notably helped him to find his own style.
In a recent trip to Southeast Asia, Arroyo visited Vietnam and Thailand, snapping stunning portraits of strangers and landscapes, capturing precise and precious moments full of beauty. The series is called Southeast.
“My favourite subject is travel photography and I guess my main goal is trying to catch those expressions we can all relate to…the essence that makes us all the same,” he says.
